An often overlooked factor that contributes to this tragedy is the lack or absence of spirituality or spiritual health. Religion and spiritual (and moral) education have been lacking in the past several decades. And this has left a tremendous void which is manifested in these "lost souls". Whether one "believes" or doesn't, their spirit/soul - the human spark - nonetheless is central to ones existence. Moreover, spirituality is almost never on the table either at school or in clinical areas when these teens seek much needed advice and direction. Whether this is intentional or by design is debatable. Regardless, its absence is significant. Many studies show that people who have a healthy spiritual life are much happier than those who do not.

I absolutely agree. In absence of religion/spirituality, people inevitably look for something else to believe in or to cling to. As you say, there is this void, this wasteland of meaning as I try to put it. This is where other ideologies can flourish: political ideologies (communism, socialism, etc.), as we've seen in the 20th century, or, as we are seeing now in the 21st century, gender ideology or climate change ideology. These are cult-like for a reason.

Thanks for reading!

100% agree. Human beings instinctively want to cling onto some greater purpose, for we are integral to this cosmic dance (as Alan Watts often put it). And you are spot on in saying that socialism, gender ideology and climate change ideology are CULTS, nothing more, nothing less. Climate change ideology is actually the most destructive, imo. For, the powers-that-ought-not-be are using it to impoverish and depopulate (with the complicity of the United Nations, NGO, corrupt governments & corporations). Hope more people wake up to these elitist psyops in 2023.
