This is a fabulous, fabulous article. I have read a lot of these ideas before, but the Divine Ms. M spells them out with great clarity, much like Eliza Mondegreen does. Keep up the good work! I'll be reading your posts from now on.

Here in the United States, the cursed conservatives, who have unwarranted power because of the way our government is set up, may in fact be a blessing. They are turning out to be a capable blockage for such nonsense as this. I'm a liberal myself, but not an idiot, which is my saving grace.

The trans nonsense is eventually going to be defeated, but it will take time, possibly decades.

"A person’s self-perception is not the highest good – the highest good is still the truth."

Very good essay, that in particular. The fundamental and profound dichotomy between being X and identifying-as X, between substance and appearance, between reality and illusion -- the last being the theme of Albee's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf", all three of my Medium essay:

However:

"The fact is: Biological sex is immutable. Sex is not the same as a gender identity."

While I agree it's important to differentiate between sex and gender/gender-identity -- i.e., between reproductive abilities and feminine/masculine personalities & types -- "biological sex", in general, is most certainly not "immutable" -- at least by standard biological definitions. For example, clownfish change sex all the time BECAUSE they change the type of gametes produced; what sex are they when they produce neither sperm nor ova? (SexLESS.) Hardly "immutable".

I think therefore I am what I think I am.
